IH Fundance Film Festival Contest
We are now accepting applications for the IH Fundance Film Festival Contest! The contest involves AIHA/ACGIH members shooting a short video (2 minutes or less), which is then uploaded on YouTube and promoted on Twitter. The purpose of this contest is to raise awareness and the profile of industrial/occupational hygiene.
Industrial/occupational hygiene is a broad area, and the video produced does not necessarily need to involve all aspects of the profession. You may choose one single element of industrial/occupational hygiene to focus on, or look at its impact on businesses around the world, or what a job as an industrial/occupational hygienist includes. You may also answer the question “What is Industrial Hygiene?” All of these elements help to raise the profile of the profession.
The mission of the IH Fundance Film Festival is not only to have fun, but to take the winning videos and share them with schools to educate students at the elementary, middle, high, and university levels, about the importance of industrial hygiene and to plant seeds with the hope of inspiring the next generation of IH/OH professionals. Contestants who submit will gain extra points in the judging process if the video is appropriate for educating kids about IH.
Contest winners will be awarded a $500 cash prize as well as the opportunity to win the grand prize—a complimentary registration to AIHce 2016.
